Hengxian County, located in the southern part of Guangxi province, is a lush, green landscape shaped by rolling hills, fertile plains, and a warm, subtropical climate. Surrounded by rivers and blessed with abundant rainfall and rich soil, Hengxian is an agricultural heartland — with a deep connection to jasmine.
Often referred to as the “Jasmine Capital of the World,” Hengxian produces over 80% of China’s jasmine tea. The region is perfectly suited for jasmine cultivation, with its clean air, long growing season, and ideal day–night temperature shifts that encourage the flowers to bloom releasing their signature fragrance. The local variety of jasmine, prized for its rich aroma and thick petals, grows in abundance here.
Jasmine Tea production in Hengxian is a skill passed down through generations. Here farmers have mastered the art of naturally scenting tea, hand-picking freshly opened jasmine flowers at just the right moment. Through a careful, multi-step process, the tea absorbs the fragrance of the blossoms, creating a cup that’s beautifully aromatic, smooth, and refreshing.
