Where does the Tea Come From?

Hampshire, England

ORIGIN: Qimen County China (tea). Hampshire, England (lavender)
VARIETAL: Camellia Sinensis var. Sinensis

Hampshire, in the south of England, provides the perfect environment for cultivating lavender, with its well-drained chalky soils, long summer daylight hours, and relatively mild climate. The region experiences less rainfall than other parts of the UK, creating dry conditions that lavender thrives in. Its gently rolling hills and open landscapes allow for excellent air circulation and sun exposure — key factors in developing the essential oils that give lavender its distinctive fragrance and calming properties.

Our supplier cultivates organic lavender harvested from high-quality English cultivars. These cultivars are renowned for their soft, refined fragrance and high concentration of compounds like linalool and linalyl acetate, which are responsible for lavender’s soothing and calming effects. Beyond its lovely scent, lavender is also renowned for its health benefits. It is often used to reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, and improve sleep quality.

Lavender adds a clean, aromatic profile to our blend, offering not only floral notes but also a sense of provenance, heritage, and bespoke quality—capturing the essence of a truly English teatime.
